Colorado 4-H STEM & K-12 programs provide opportunities for youth to learn, practice and apply knowledge and abilities to prepare them for success in careers and life.
AmeriCorps and Colorado State University Extension (CSUE) joined forces to give youth the opportunity to engage in 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) projects. This 4-H program focuses on out-of-school time education that encourages youth to develop 21st century workforce skills, graduate from high school and consider STEM academic and career choices. We are an AmeriCorps State program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) through Serve Colorado–The Governor’s Commission on Community Service. The program is administered by Colorado State University Extension and the Colorado 4-H Youth Development Program.
Through 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) out-of-school time programming, the CSUE 4-H STEM AmeriCorps Program will address AmeriCorps’ national service priority for Education – providing, supporting and facilitating access to services and resources for economically disadvantaged youth that contribute to improved educational outcomes, increased likelihood of high school graduation and preparation for success in post-secondary education.
We proudly serve 12 Counties across Colorado.
